It has had no consequences on the installation and has not posed any risk to workers, the public or the environment.
The Juzbado factory reported an event notifiable to the Nuclear Safety Council this afternoon after detecting that one of the fire doors in the gadolinium area was open.
It was observed that the return mechanism that ensures the closing of this type of doors had not acted properly after the passage of an operator.
However, the event has not posed any risk to the facility, the workers, the public or the environment since during the time that the door has remained open no work has been carried out that would imply the danger of fire.
The door closing mechanism has been reviewed and the appropriate corrective actions will be established.
